Dr. Esther Morales Franco is a tenured Professor-Researcher, Level C, affiliated with the Department of Institutional Studies at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM), Cuajimalpa Campus. She is a member of the Academic Body on Law, Administration, and Institutions. Starting in September 2025, she will assume the position of Director of the Division of Social Sciences and Humanities at the Cuajimalpa Campus for the 2025–2029 term.

She holds a Ph.D. and Master's Degree in Organizational Studies from the UAM Iztapalapa Campus and a Bachelor's Degree in Administration from the Azcapotzalco Campus. She was awarded the University Merit Medal for her undergraduate and graduate studies. She has a Diploma in Market Economies from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) and a Diploma in Humanism and Management from the HEC of Montreal.

Her research lines are University education in the digital era, the impacts of technological integration in organizations, and disruptions in the world of work from an ethical and gender perspective. Both are enriched with a human rights perspective, such as access to information and personal data protection combined with transparency, accountability, and enabling rights.

Professor Morales has been a lecturer and speaker at specialized events on issues of organizational analysis and development, education, social responsibility, and technology. She has taught at the undergraduate and graduate levels at UAM Iztapalapa, Azcapotzalco, and Cuajimalpa Campuses. She promoted using simulators in the university training of administrators through collaborative work with teachers from different academic units.

She is part of the essential core of professors in the graduate programs of Social Sciences and Humanities at the Cuajimalpa Campus and Intervention in Organizations at the Azcapotzalco Campus. Likewise, she has been the Director of terminal projects, suitable communications of results, and thesis. Representative of the inter-institutional Chair UAM-University of Guanajuato "El quehacer universitario" and has been recognized with the teaching award in 2016.

She is a member of the Diagnostic and Strategy Commission for Teaching in Contingency (CODEC), in charge of promoting solutions and following up on university actions in the context of the pandemic caused by the SARS-CoV2 coronavirus (Covid-19) and of the Commission on the future of the university.

Responsible for the project to rescue historical-legal sources in agreement with the Historical Archive of Mexico City to scan, design, and develop a catalog that will be available in a digital library that allows consultation of the minutes of the town council of the old archive of the CDMX. She also participates in the University Learning Network (RUA) collaboration agreement with the UNAM.
