Profile

Professor Gustavo Viniegra Gonzalez is a Full-Time Professor at the Biotechnology Department of the Biological and Health Sciences Division of the Universidad Autonoma Metropolitana (UAM) Iztapalapa Campus.

He is a Surgeon from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM,1965), Master´s in Science (Biochemistry) from CINVESTAV of Instituto Politécnico Naciona (IPN,1967), Ph.D. in Biophysics from the University of California, San Francisco, USA, (1971). Postdoctoral student at the University of Pennsylvania (1972).

He is Distinguished Professor at UAM (1985), Emeritus National Researcher (2002) and Emeritus Professor at UAM (2012).
