Dr. Benjamín Moreno Montiel graduated from Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science in 2007. He continued his academic training at the same institution, earning a Master's degree in 2009 and a Ph.D. in 2017, both in Information Sciences and Technologies from the PCyT program.

Since January 2015, he has served as a professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, where he has taught over 120 courses, covering nearly the entire Computer Science undergraduate curriculum and some graduate-level courses in the Master’s program in Information Sciences and Technologies.

Dr. Moreno Montiel has presented more than 10 papers at international conferences and has published several articles in specialized journals and international conference proceedings. Additionally, he has supervised over 25 final projects and social service programs at UAM, and has served as advisor for 7 Master's theses in Information Sciences and Technologies between 2019 and 2023.

His main areas of interest include Machine Learning, Parallel Computing, Software Engineering, Natural Language Processing, and Discrete Simulation.
