Professor Ricardo Romero Ochoa currently serves as an Associate Professor at the Department of Natural Sciences within the Division of Natural Sciences and Engineering at the Cuajimalpa Campus of UAM.

Professor Romero Ochoa is a graduate of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Mexico (UNAM), where he completed his undergraduate studies in Physics at the Faculty of Sciences. Subsequently, he continued his academic journey at the Institute of Physics at UNAM, earning his Master's and Doctorate degrees in Science (Physics).

In his teaching role, he has delivered various Teaching-Learning Units (UEAs) within the Department of Natural Sciences, covering subjects such as Differential Calculus, Integral Calculus, General Physics, Introduction to Thermodynamics, Scientific Computing, Statistical Methods, Optics, and Data Handling in R and Python.

In the realm of research, Dr. Romero Ochoa focuses on areas such as Biophysics, Bioinformatics, and Quantum Computing. His research involves projects that utilize computational tools and machine learning for drug development and repurposing, as well as the analysis of omics data to understand the molecular-level development of various diseases better.
