Professor Christopher Lionel Heard Wade holds a Ph.D. in Building Environmental Engineering from the University of Sheffield (1983).

He has taught courses on heat transfer in buildings, energy planning, exploration, evaluation of geothermal fields, thermal analysis of buildings. Professor and advisor to teachers of the Faculty of Architecture at the Universidad Autónoma de Baja California; thesis director at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México and at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM).

He has a large number of publications in international peer-reviewed journals as well as in national journals. He participated as a speaker at the V Meeting of Technical Commercial Exchange Mexico-United States, Houston, Texas. He has been a member of the Doctoral Tutorial Committee in the doctoral program in engineering of the CIE-UNAM and a member of ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers, Inc since 1999. He is currently under review for his patent, the "Improved fluid-liquid heat exchanger equipment".

He is currently Professor of the Department of Theory and Processes of Design of the Division of Communication Sciences and Design, at the Cuajimalpa Campus. Member of the National System of Researchers, Level II.
