Doctor Enrique Eduardo Mancera Cardos is a Professor in the Sociology of Education axis. His main lines of research are Young students in IES, Socio-educational inequality, and Graduates. He is working on the research project: Identities, social context, and trajectories of young university students in the ZMVM: northern region.

Graduated with a degree in Sociology from the National School of Professional Studies (ENEP Acatlan) of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). He studied a Master´s in Research and Development of Education at the Universidad Iberoamericana and a Ph.D. in Political and Social Sciences at the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences of the UNAM. He has been a Professor at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) since 2008.

Between 1985 and 2020, he has worked as a teacher and researcher at: SEP, Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, Universidad Iberoamericana, Universidad Autónoma de Hidalgo and Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, specializing in Sociology of education.

He has participated in academic associations and networks, such as the Mexican Council of Educational Research, Interinstitutional research group of the Azcapotzalco Campus UAM/FES Acatlán-UNAM
