Professor Claudia Rojas Serna is a Civil Engineer graduated from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) Azcapotzalco Campus. Specialty in Bridges from the Facultad de Estudios Superiores-Aragón of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). Master's degree in Hydraulic Engineering from the Graduate Studies Division of the School of Engineering of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). Ph.D. in Water Sciences (in Hydrological Engineering) from the National School of Rural, Water and Forest Engineering (École Nationale de Génie Rural, des Eaux et des Fôrets ENGREF), Paris, France (École Doctorale Géosciences et Ressources Naturelles, Unité de Recherche Hydrosystèmes et bioprocédés, IRSTEA-Antony, National Institute of Scientific and Technological Research for the Environment and Agriculture).

Professional Experience: Professor in the Hydraulics and Geotechnics section of the Civil Engineering Degree: Facultad de Estudios Superiores Acatlán (FES-Acatlán, UNAM). Specialized Services Appraiser and Head of the Office of Field Studies: (in charge of the management and technical control of the hydraulic and hydrological studies for the bridge project at the General Directorate of Federal Highways of the Ministry of Communications and Transportation). Hydraulics Specialist at the General Subdirectorate of Construction of the National Water Commission (CONAGUA). Hydraulics Specialist at the Mexican Hydraulics Association (AMH). Hydraulics Specialist at the Mexican Institute of Water Technology (IMTA).

Her professional experience includes being a Visiting Professor in the Master's Program in Sustainable Management of Water Resources in the Postgraduate Program of the Institute of Hydraulics and Hydrology of the Universidad Mayor de San Andrés in La Paz, Bolivia. Part-time Professor at the UAM, Azcapotzalco Campus. In charge of the Hydraulics and Hydrology area at Consultora Mexicana de Ingeniería (CMI). Professor at the Universidad Iberoamericana in the area of Hydraulics of the Civil Engineering degree. Coordinator of the Hydrologic Engineering Degree in the Department of Process Engineering and Hydraulics at the UAM, Iztapalapa Campus.

Currently, she is a Professor in the Hydrological Engineering degree program at the Department of Process Engineering and Hydraulics. Professor of the Graduate Program in Energy and Environment at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, Iztapalapa Campus.
