Profile
Professor Mónica Elvira Gómez Ochoa studied a Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Communication Design at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) Azcapotzalco Campus, a Specialization in Editorial Design at Editorial Versal, and a Master's Degree in Graphic Communication Design in the Area of New Technologies at the Azcapotzalco Campus of the UAM.
She has been a Professor at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, Azcapotzalco Campus, since 2008; Responsible and coordinator of design and production in the Editorial Workshop of the Department of Processes and Techniques of Realization of the Azcapotzalco Campus, where departmental research publications are produced, such as: compilations, textbooks, conference proceedings, symposiums, etc., design and dissemination of events organized by the department, Editor responsible for the departmental magazine Technology and Design. She served as Departmental Teaching Coordinator for the Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Communication Design.
She has organized academic and cultural events such as international congresses, lecture series, and workshops; she has participated as a speaker and moderator in different congresses, symposiums, and academic forums.
Her line of research is related to editorial design, from studies of readability and legibility, architecture and structure of typographic families, the study of the electronic textbook as a tool in the classroom, management, and file formats optimized for the reproduction of any design product in the graphic arts industry.
