Profile

Dr. César Martínez Flores holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from the Institute of Physical Sciences (ICF) of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), where he graduated with highest honors and received the Alfonso Caso Medal for his research on properties associated with dipolar and generalized transitions in atomic systems under extreme conditions.

He completed two postdoctoral research appointments, totaling five years, at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, Iztapalapa Campus, and at the Institute of Nuclear Sciences (ICN-UNAM), collaborating with established research groups in theoretical physical chemistry and quantum chemistry. This trajectory has strengthened his profile as an independent researcher and led to his incorporation into Mexico’s National System of Researchers (SNII) in 2019, where he currently holds Level I status.

His scientific output includes 29 peer-reviewed articles published in indexed journals, which have collectively received more than 260 citations. He also actively serves as a reviewer for several international scientific journals.

Academically, since 2016 he has taught undergraduate courses in physics and mathematics at various higher education institutions, demonstrating a strong commitment to the training of new generations and to scientific outreach. He also has experience supervising theses and has actively participated in national and international conferences through presentations, seminars, and workshops.
