Profile

Professor Iván Pavel Moreno Espíndola has a Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, a Master's degree in Agricultural Sciences, and a Ph.D. in Biological and Health Sciences. He completed a postdoctoral stay with a Basic Science Project (CONACYT).

Among his research interests are Crop improvement; Native crops and agrobiodiversity; Agricultural microbiology; Organic agriculture; Public policies in agricultural matters; territorial planning and development.

He completed the following internships: Department of Molecular Genetics, Institute of Molecular Physiology, UNAM, Mexico (2008); Centro de Edafología y Biología Aplicada del Segura, Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CEBAS-CSIC), in Murcia, Spain (2007); and Universidad Agraria de la Habana, Cuba (2002).
