Profile
Professor María del Carmen Gómez holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). She studied Electronic Engineering at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM).
She is currently an Associate Professor at UAM Cuajimalpa Campus in the Department of Applied Mathematics and Systems.
She worked for eight years as a software engineer at Alcatel, participating for three and a half years in the Software Design and Development department at Alcatel Bell, Belgium.
Her main area of interest is Software Engineering, particularly Requirements Engineering, modeling, and systems development. She also works on applying computational systems to solve graph theory problems.
