Profile
Professor Javier Alducin Castillo was born in 1985 in Veracruz, Mexico. He obtained the degree of Ms.C. in Biomedical Engineering at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) Iztapalapa Campus, Mexico (2014), achieving the recognition of the University Merit Medal in the same year. In 2008, he graduated as an Electronic Engineer at the UAM Azcapotzalco Campus.
He is pursuing a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering Sciences at the UAM Iztapalapa Campus. Since 2016, he has met the requirements of PRODEP Profile (PROMEP), valid until 2021.
Since 2013, he became involved in research topics related to brain functional connectivity in young adults and recently in children, using EEG, performing the dissemination of results through various papers written in scientific research journals, in collaboration with researchers belonging to the Lab. of Electroencephalography of the National Institute of Rehabilitation (INR), Mexico and researchers from the Iztapalapa Campus of the UAM. He also collaborates with researchers from the Azcapotzalco Campus of the UAM in the modeling and characterization of analog-to-digital converters through digital signal processing.
His research interests include digital signal and image processing, EEG signal processing, functional brain connectivity, and pattern recognition.
