Profile

Professor Amador Romero Barrios is an Architect from the Xochimilco campus of the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) in 1989, Master in Architecture from the National Autonomous University of Mexico in 2009, with Honorable Mention, currently pursuing a Doctorate in Architecture at the Postgraduate Studies of the National Autonomous University of Mexico.

He has been a Full-time Research Professor by opposition since 2007 at the Xochimilco campus of the UAM in the Department of Creative Synthesis of the Division of Sciences and Arts for Design. He teaches in the Bachelor of Architecture program in architectural design workshops, holds a Prodep profile, and is a member of the key academic body UAM-X-CA-121.

His current research project is titled: "The forms of settlement and dwelling of communities in the territory, the city, and architecture." He is the Head of the research area: Urban Projects, Alternative City, and Sustainable Development.

His publications include: "Virtual Learning Environments in the Modular System of the UAM" (2016. ISBN 978-607-28-0903-1), Co-author of the teaching book: "Introduction to the study of architecture in the Modular System of the UAM" (2017. ISBN 978-607-28-1154-6), and "Rebuilding higher education from the COVID-19 pandemic" (2021. Ibero-American Association of University Didactics. ISBN 978-607-749-156-9).

He is a Professor and Tutor in the Graduate Program in Architecture in the Field of Knowledge: Architecture, City, and Territory at the National Autonomous University of Mexico.
