Professor Rodrigo Guzmán Preciado has a background in Sociology and a Specialization in Sociology of Education from the Azcapotzalco Campus of the UAM (Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana). He holds a master's degree in Development and Planning of Education and is pursuing doctoral studies in Social Sciences with a research focus on Society and Education.

He is a specialist in higher education sociology and educational policies, participating in three accreditations of the Sociology bachelor's degree, in two processes of adjustment of the Sociology bachelor's degree, and currently serving as a member of the Commissions for the Psychology bachelor's degree for the process of adjustment or modification of the curriculum and program of study, as well as the Academic Evaluation Commission for the 2024 Academic Development Calls.

He was awarded the University Merit Medal for having the highest average in the master's program in Development and Planning of Education from 2008 to 2010.
