Professor José Ascensión Viccon Pale is a Full-Time Professor at the Department of Man and his Environment, Division of Biological and Health Sciences, Xochimilco Campus, Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM).

He did his Ph.D. in Biology at the University of Havana, Cuba.
