Professor Yadira Alatriste Martínez has a degree in Graphic Design from the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla (BUAP). She studied the Specialty and Master's Degree in Design in the Line of New Technologies at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) where she obtained the Academic Mention in 2007. She studied for a Ph.D. in Multimedia Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia in Barcelona, Spain, where he received Cud Laude. She obtained an Erasmus Mundus External Cooperation Window Scholarship and a PRODEP Scholarship for high quality graduate studies abroad.

She has been distinguished as a National Researcher Candidate in the National System of Researchers (SNI). She is a member of the basic core in the research area of New Technologies at UAM Azcapotzalco Campus and belongs to the Academic Group Design and Education under the paradigm of the Internet of Things. The field of expertise in: eHealth, user experience, usability, HCI, technology, design, and information visualization.

She is part of the editorial committee of indexed journals in Mexico and abroad. She has been part of the multidisciplinary organizing committee of the International Congress of Advances of Women in Science, Humanities, and all disciplines since 2008, organized by the UAM.

She currently works as a research professor at the Department of Processes and Techniques of Realization of the Division of Sciences and Arts for Design of the UAM since 2006, teaching in the careers in Graphic Communication Design, Systems Engineering, and the Postgraduate in Information Visualization Design.
