Professor Alfredo Garcilazo Gomez, born in March 1965, is a Dental Surgeon who graduated in 1989 from the Faculty of Dentistry of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM); later, he made a specialty in Orthodontics at the FO, UNAM, two years later he entered the specialty in Oral Prosthetics at the FO, UNAM.

He has conducted studies to standardize cephalometric measurements for Mexicans born in Mexico City; in 1999, he was a researcher invited by Reality magazine in Houston, Texas, to develop projects in dental biomaterials. He has been a Professor by opposition at the UNAM since 1998 and by opposition at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM), where he has developed research projects in diabetic patients with the intention of identifying characteristics in the mouth and develop protocols for care. He has participated in the publication of manuals of removable orthodontic appliances, his most active line of work is related to adhesive dentistry.
