Profile
Professor Jersain Gómez Núñez has a Ph.D. in Hydraulic Engineering, is a Candidate in the National System of Researchers, Full-Time Associate Professor level D at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) Azcapotzalco Campus, Member of the Mexican Hydraulic Association since 2015 and of the International Water Association since 2021. He received the "Miguel A. Urquijo 2016" for the best technical article in Civil Engineering and the PRODEP Desirable Profile 2017 to 2023.
Previously, he worked at the UAEH and the Chapingo Autonomous University. He is the author of more than 40 extensive papers at national and international conferences related to hydraulics. He has taught courses and participated in congresses, symposiums, and workshops, both national and international.
He has directed 26 theses on civil, mechanics, and computing engineering, with topics ranging from rainwater harvesting, water movement, water supply, drainage systems, etc. He has published eight articles in indexed journals and one book and has been a consultant for private companies and government agencies.
