Profile

Professor José Luis Hernández Mota holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) Iztapalapa Campus, a Specialization in Public Finance from INAP, a Master's degree in Economics from the CIDE and a Ph.D. in Economics from the UAM.

In addition to teaching as a Professor in the Department of Economics at the Azcapotzalco Campus of the UAM, he has also taught courses in the areas of Public Finance, Quantitative Methods, Economic Theory, and Applied Economics at the Faculties of Economics and Acatlan Graduate Studies of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), at the Popular Autonomous University of the State of Puebla, the University of Valle de Mexico, the Autonomous University of the State of Hidalgo, as well as at the Iztapalapa and Xochimilco Campuses of the UAM. In the public sector, he worked for the Ministries of the Interior and Energy in the area of Programming and Budget and Telecomunicaciones de México in the area of Auditing.

The Professor is a Level I of the National System of Researchers of CONACYT. He has 14 articles published in indexed or refereed journals, as well as six book chapters and three popular articles.
