Profile
Professor Miguel López Guerrero received his B.Sc. in Mechanical-Electrical Engineering in 1995 and his M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering in 1998, both from the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico (UNAM). He received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Ottawa in 2004, where he also completed a postdoctoral stay.
He is currently working for the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) as a Professor. Doctor López Guerrero belongs to the National System of Researchers and has a Desirable Profile recognition granted by the Directorate of Academic Improvement of the SEP.
He regularly participates as a member of the technical committee of international conferences and serves as a referee for several international journals. His research interests include the design and evaluation of communication network components and services, as well as modeling with alpha-stable random variables.
