Professor Rodrigo Ramírez Ramírez was born in Mexico City in 1977. He is Professor of Design at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) Azcapotzalco Campus since 2004. He is also Professor at the Departments of Design and Architecture at the Universidad Iberoamericana, Mexico City, since 2005.

Professor Ramirez holds a Ph.D. degree in Design (2012) for the Research Lines of New Technologies and Bioclimatic Architecture; a Master's degree in Design (2007) obtained with a project that developed Multimedia themes to motivate the learning of history in the context of museums; a diploma of Specialization in Hypermedia (2005); and a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Communication Design (2001), all obtained at the UAM Azcapotzalco Campus.

He received, on three occasions, the University Merit Medal from the Azcapotzalco Campus of the UAM for his undergraduate (2000), master's (2007), and doctoral (2013) studies; and on two occasions, the Academic Mention for his work in Specialization (2004) and Doctorate (2013). He received in 2018 the University Merit Diploma from the Universidad Iberoamericana, Mexico City, for his outstanding academic work for more than ten years.

Since 2014, he has served as Head of the Color Research Group and the Color Laboratory of the Division of Sciences and Arts for Design of the Azcapotzalco Campus of the UAM.

Professor Ramirez participates as a teacher in the Bachelor's Degree programs in Graphic Communication Design, Architecture, and Textile Design. He also participates as a teacher, advisor, director, and co-director of thesis in the postgraduate programs in Design at UAM, specifically in the programs of Design and Visualization of Information, Product Design and Development, and Bioclimatic Design.

He is a member of the Study Committees of the Postgraduate Degrees in Product Design and Development and in Information Design and Visualization, as well as of the Career Studies Committee of the Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Communication Design.

From 1996 to 2016, he worked as a freelance designer and business consultant on digital photography, multimedia, and editorial Design, among others. He also holds diplomas in General Art History from CONACULTA and INAH and in Electronics for Designers from the Azcapotzalco Campus of the UAM. She regularly works on research topics related to color, Design, and technology, meanings of color and color in lighting.
