Profile
Professor Jorge Ramirez Muñoz holds a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering, a Master's degree, and a Doctorate in Science in Chemical Engineering. He has been Head of Automation and Control of Grupo Pecuario San Antonio, S.A. de C.V. for four years. Associate Researcher at the Polymer Research Center of PPG-COMEX for four years, where he coordinated projects of optimization and scaling up of mixing processes focused on solid/liquid, liquid/liquid dispersion, and other complex systems. National Technology and Innovation Award 2013 (XIV edition) in the "Process Innovation" chapter.
He is a Professor in the Department of Energy at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) Azcapotzalco Campus. Member of the National System of Researchers of CONACyT since 2009, Level I. Desirable profile by PRODEP since 2008.
He has published about 26 articles in JCR indexed journals with strict arbitration and about 120 papers in conference proceedings. Member of the study committee of the graduate program in Process Engineering from 2012 to 2015. He has directed seven master's, four doctoral, and 12 terminal or integration projects. Currently, he is the coordinator of the Postgraduate Program in Process Engineering at the Azcapotzalco Campus of the UAM. His line of academic research is hydrodynamic modeling and simulation of multiphase gas/liquid systems, mixing processes, and process intensification.
