Doctor Alejandro Gerardo Ortiz Bulle Goyri holds a Ph.D. in Iberian and Latin American Studies from the University of Perpignan (France). He has taught courses on theater history, Spanish-American literature, and art history. He has participated in several professional and university theater performances.

He has also published creative texts (playwriting, short stories and poetry). Member of the Asociación Mexicana de Investigación Teatral (AMIT), of which he has been President (2009-2012). He served as coordinator of the Specialization in 20th Century Mexican Literature at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) Azcapotzalco Campus (2012-2017). His most recent publications are: Cuatro obras de revista para el Teatro de Ahora (1932) published by the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana Azcapotzalco Campus (2008), Teatro y vida novohispana (2011) and Un torbellino de miradas a la glándula tiroides, (2015) co-authored with Carlos Valverde Rodríguez, published by UNAM.

Editor of issue 48 of the journal Tema y Variaciones de Literatura (Literatura y Diversidad), Editorial Coordinator of the dossier "Paisajes, paseos y el acto de pasear", Revista Fuentes Humanísticas, NÚM 58 January-June 2019. Department of Humanities, Azcapotzalco Campus, UAM. He is currently a lecturer at the College of Dramatic Literature and Theater of the UNAM and a professor at the Azcapotzalco Campus of the UAM.
