Profile
Professor Ricardo López Medina studied Chemical Engineering at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) Azcapotcalco Campus, Master in Science and Materials Engineering at the UAM Azcapotzalco Campus with CONACYT Scholarship, Master in Industrial Process Engineering at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid with European AECID Scholarship and Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid with European AECID Scholarship, mention European Doctorate. The repatriation was made through the CONACYT repatriation program to UAM Azcapotzalco Campus.
He was Visiting Professor at the Division of Basic Sciences at UAM Azcapotzalco Campus and is currently an Associate Professor and Researcher since 2017. Member of the National System of Researchers SNI, level I from 2015 to 2025, and PRODEP having the desirable profile.
Doctor López has done stays at Adam Mickiewicz University of Poznań, Poland (COST Action Europe Grant), Faculty of Chemistry, and at the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (ESRF), European Laboratory for High Energy Physics (CERN) Grenoble, France (COST Action Europe Grant), Postdoctoral with CONACYT Grant at the Instituto de Catálisis y Petroleoquímica in Madrid, Spain (permission is granted as Chemical Engineer homologated in Spain).
Author and co-author of 25 research articles on the Reaction Engineering of light alkanes analyzing the structure-activity relationship by means of In Situ and Operando Raman techniques. Attendance to about 50 National and International Congresses on the mentioned topics. Advisor of 15 undergraduate theses in Chemical and Environmental Engineering, in addition to three master's theses.
