Professor Bruno Lutz is a full-time tenured research professor at the Department of Social Relations of the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) Xochimilco Campus and a member of the Researchers National System (SNI).

He has a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology and Ethnology, a Master's Degree in Anthropology (both from the Sorbonne in Paris), a Ph.D. in Social Sciences (UAM), as well as a post-doctorate in Sociology at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM).

He has received several awards for his outstanding work, among which we can mention: the Ibero-American Prize for Literature for the work "Control and discipline of peasants in Mexico, from the Porfiriato to Cardenismo", in 2022, and the National Prize for Professional Excellence , granted by the Mexican Senate in 2021.

As a professor, he teaches undergraduate and postgraduate classes, in addition to serving as thesis director. Throughout his career he has given numerous conferences and presentations at specialized events. Professor Bruno Lutz has published around fifty scientific articles in different Mexican and international journals. And he is the author of 13 books.
