Profile

Professor Nancy Fabiola Martínez Cervantes has a degree in Sociology from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) Azcapotzalco Campus, a Master's degree, and a Ph.D. in Organizational Studies from the Iztapalapa Campus of the UAM. She is a professor in the Department of Administration at the Azcapotzalco Campus of the UAM. She has the desirable PRODEP profile and has been an evaluator of the National Public Administration Award and an evaluator of Applications for Support for the Incorporation of New Professors in the framework of PRODEP. Her main lines of research are technology, university management, and organizational culture.

She is a member of the Area Analysis and Management of Organizations, which obtained the Research Areas Award in 2017 and 2019, and of the Consolidated Academic Body with the same name. She belongs to the Mexican Network of Researchers in Organizational Studies and the Network of Educational Innovation and Technological Appropriation. She was a member of the ELAC Project (European and Latin American Consortium for IST Enhanced Continued Education Environmental Management and Planning).

Among her most recent published articles are: "Technological competencies in the field of university academic activities,"; "Some reflections on transparency in Mexican public universities", "Reflecting and teaching digital technologies, the first draft of a biography of things" and "Notes on university management and information and communication technologies". She currently holds the position of Divisional Coordinator of Planning for the Division of Social Sciences and Humanities of the Azcapotzalco Campus of the UAM.
