Professor Laura Valencia Escamilla holds a Ph.D. in Social Sciences with a major in Political Science from the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences (FLACSO), a Specialist in Constitutional Law from the Center for Constitutional Studies, Madrid, Spain, a University Diploma in Comparative Parliamentary Law from the Universidad Iberoamericana, a Master's Degree in Political Science from the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) and a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Public Administration from the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences of the UNAM.Professor of the Department of Politics and Culture, she was Coordinator of the Bachelor's Degree in Politics and Social Management (UAM Xochimilco Campus) (2017-2021), Coordinator of the Ph.D. in Social Sciences at the (UAM Xochimilco Campus) (2021- ), Active Member of the National System of Researchers and Active Member of the Program for the Professional Development of Teachers (PRODEP).Her disciplinary area of research work includes the Project: The Executive-Legislative Relationship in the elaboration of Public Policies.Professor Valencia is the author of the books Valencia Escamilla, L.
