Neurosciences and psychiatry: studies in collaboration with psychiatric hospitals to study patients with schizophrenia. In addition, studies in animal models of schizophrenia to understand the brain processes in this disorder.

Neurosciences and nutrition: studies on the effect of soft drink consumption on the organism of animals, as well as the addiction of experimental animals to various types of soft drinks.

Neurosciences and endocrinology: studies on the possible relationship between the hormone testosterone and the neurotransmitter dopamine.

Medical undergraduate teaching: teaching research skills to medical students, and the usefulness of research for the practice of medicine.
