Professor Consuelo Córdoba Flores is a Professor at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM), Azcapotzalco Campus, since 2001. An architect by profession, she continued her academic training at the same university, graduating a Doctor in Design and Urban Studies within the Urban History Program, Master in Design in the Urban Studies Line, and Specialist in Design in the Urban Planning Line.

Her commitment to UAM has led her to occupy different positions of responsibility within the Department of Design Evaluation of the Division of Sciences and Arts for Design; among them, the Departmental Coordinator of Dissemination (2001 - 2004), and Head of the Research Area of Urban Studies (2014 . 2019).

In addition to her academic and management activities, she has been, since 2011 and until 2019, coordinator and editor of the journal Anuario de Espacios Urbanos, Historia, Cultura y Diseño, a publication edited by the Azcapotzalco Campus of the UAM; which, under her coordination, achieved its indexing in the Latindex and EBSCO databases. She has also coordinated the books Evaluación del diseño (2002), Evaluación de la docencia en diseño (2003) and Los desafíos del cambio. Research in Design (2005).

Currently, Professor Córdoba carries out research activities in the areas of History of Science and Medicine in Mexico, History of Urban Planning, and Urban Diagnosis for the recovery of public spaces, reporting her contributions in different publications and academic events. From her teaching experience and as a member of the Teaching Collective "Basic Principles of Design", she has also published texts related to the teaching of design.

She considers herself a researcher and teacher, open to new ways of seeing and thinking.
