Profile

Dr. Eugenia Martín Moreno is a full time Research Professor in the Department of Politics and Culture at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, Unidad Xochimilco. Her previous work includes collaboration with the Grupo de Información en Reproducción Elegida (GIRE) in the area of dissemination of information on issues related to the decriminalization of abortion. She worked at the National Population Council on the "Training system of human resources in population" project.

She obtained her Ph.D. in Anthropology from the National School of Anthropology and History. She holds a Master's degree in Demography from the Colegio de México and a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) Xochimilco Campus. She has been interested in women's and gender issues, for which she completed a Specialization in Women's Studies at the UAM Xochimilco Campus and a Higher Diploma in Public Policy and Institutionalization of the Gender Perspective at the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences. For the last 6 years she has participated in a Permanent Seminar on Narrative Research at the Centro de Investigaciones de Estudios Superiores en Antropología Social (CIESAS) in Mexico City.

As part of her academic work, she has participated in numerous congresses, forums, and meetings related to her topics of interest, as well as participating in degree exams and thesis direction.

The lines of research she has worked on are: women's health and gender; a double working day in academic women; family-work conciliation; autoethnography and women; gender-based violence, and gender equality policies in universities.
