Dr. Angélica Rosas Huerta holds a Ph.D. in Social Sciences, a Master’s degree in Public Policy, and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM). Her research focuses on environmental and energy public policies, with expertise in governance, institutional capacity, policy evaluation, environmental governance, and climate change. She holds the rank of National Researcher Level I in the Sistema Nacional de Investigadoras e Investigadores (SNII).

She serves as a Full-Time Professor in the Department of Politics and Culture within the Division of Social Sciences and Humanities at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana Unidad Xochimilco.

Her international research collaborations include serving as Co-Investigator in the Canada Excellence Research Chair Network for Equity in Sustainability Transitions (CERC NEST, University of Toronto) and Co-Lead for Mexico City in the project Justice First: Community-Embedded Energy Transition Planning for Climate Resilience (funded by Canada's New Frontiers in Research Fund). At UAM, she leads research initiatives on urban energy transition equity and municipal climate change adaptation capacities, alongside participation in UNAM-PAPIIT policy analysis projects and an extensive record of peer-reviewed books, chapters, and journal articles.
