Professor María Luisa Mussot López holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from the Catholic University of Louvain, Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium (1993), Director Michell Molitor, thesis: "La Modernización política de México y el sindicalismo en un nuevo modelo corporativo de concertación política social 1982- 1988". She holds a Master's degree in Sociology of Labor from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). Graduate of the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences. Mexico (1988). Diploma in Political Analysis, Universidad Iberoamericana (1988). Degree in Sociology, UNAM, Faculty of Political and Social Sciences (1982).

She is a Professor in the Department of Sociology, Division of Social Sciences and Humanities, Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM), Iztapalapa Campus, April 2014 - present.
