Professor German Castro Mejía holds a bachelor´s and a Master degree in Biology from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) Iztapalapa Campus.

He is a Professor at the Xochimilco Campus of the UAM in the Department of Biology at the Department of Man and his Environment. Professor of the modules Life Histories, Pests, and Diseases of a Natural Resource and Secondary Production of the degree in Biology. Professor of the Master in Applied Ecology at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana Xochimilco Campus.

He has been Head of Research Area, Academic Representative before the Divisional Council of CBS, and the Biology Degree Coordinator at the Xochimilco Campus.

He has published two books and more than 50 research articles. More than 45 papers in academic events and 30 conferences given. Acknowledgments: Scholarship for Teaching Recognition, Scholarship for Permanence, and Stimulus for Outstanding Academic Career.
