Profile

Professor Guillermo López Maldonado is a graduate of the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) Azcapotzalco Campus with a degree in Physical Engineering. He was part of the faculty at the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, Estado de México Campus, teaching at a higher level in the departments of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Mechatronics Engineering. He studied for a Master's degree at the Graduate Studies Division of the Faculty of Engineering of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), in the Electrical Engineering program with an orientation in Telecommunications. At the University of the Army and Air Force of the Military School of Engineers, in the specialty of Electrical Engineering, he taught courses at a higher level. He carried out doctoral studies at the Center for Applied Sciences and Technological Development of the UNAM in the Microwave Photonics Laboratory, obtaining the degree of Doctor of Engineering.

He taught at the Electronics Department of the Azcapotzalco Campus of the UAM. Currently, he is a professor at the UAM Lerma Campus, attached to the Department of Information Systems and Communications; member of the research area of Nanostructured Materials and Molecular Biology of the Division of Basic Science and Engineering, with the current distinction of the National System of Researchers and he teaches at the undergraduate level.

At the Lerma Campus, he was part of the Engineering Area Review Committee, has been a member of the Divisional Council of the Division of Basic Sciences and Engineering, as well as Divisional Studies Coordinator, Member of the Studies Committee of the Bachelor's Degree in Water Resources, Collegiate Member of the Academic Council and currently holds the position of Head of the Information and Communication Systems Department.
