Ricardo Adalberto Pino Hidalgo is a Professor in the Department of Theory and Analysis of the Division of CyAD at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) Xochimilco Campus. Professor with Desirable Profile PRODEP, Ministry of Public Education, 2011-2014 and 2017-2020. UAM Research Award 2016-2018 (collective). Founding member of the Latin American Network of Researchers on Urban Theory (RELATEUR) and Member of the National Network of Urban Research (RNIU). He was a member of the Mixed Technical Committee of the Community Program for Neighborhood Improvement of the Government of the Federal District.

He is currently head of the Department of Theory and Analysis (Xochimilco Campus); he was coordinator of the degree in Territorial Planning and the Research and Territorial Management line of the postgraduate program in Sciences and Arts for Design, both at the Xochimilco Campus of the UAM.

Ph.D. in Sciences and Arts for Design in Territorial Research and Management from the Xochimilco Campus; Master in Metropolitan Planning and Policies from the Azcapotzalco Campus and a degree in Human Settlements Design from the Xochimilco Campus.

Co-author of 4 collective books, author of 7 book chapters and 14 specialized articles in scientific journals, including: "El mejoramiento barrial."
