Profile

Leonardo Dagdug is a professor in the Physics Department of the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) Iztapalapa Campus. He graduated in Physics from the UAM, obtaining a Ph.D. in Physics. He has done postdoctoral stays at the National Institutes of Health in the USA in the group of George Weiss. He has published more than 100 papers in international journals that have received more than 1300 citations. He is a visiting researcher at the Molecular Transport Section (NIH / NICHD), USA.

He has received the following grants and awards: in 2014, the Research Award in the area of basic sciences and engineering by UAM, Mexico; in 2012, the Basic Sciences Fellowship from CONACyT, Mexico; in 2010, Intramural Research Program by NIH, USA; in 2005 the Basic Sciences Grant from CONACyT, Mexico; and in 1999, the Award for Excellence in Educational Practice, Universidad Simón Bolívar, Mexico.

He has been editor of: Associate Editor for Frontiers Biophysics; Frontiers in Physics; Frontiers in Physiology; and Frontiers in Molecular Biosciences.
