Profile

Professor Ofelia Gómez Landeros is a Surgeon who graduated from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) in May 1982. Specialist in Family Medicine Residency at the Mexican Institute of Social Security and UNAM graduated in 1985.

She worked at the Mexican Institute of Social Security as a Family Physician in the Family Medicine Unit number 7 in Mexico City from 1987 to 2008, last position in that institution as Head of Clinical Department. Certified by the Mexican Council of Certification in Family Medicine since December 1994 and valid until November 2022. She also worked at the Faculty of Medicine of the UNAM since August 2001 as Professor of Subject "A", and on multiple occasions was a synodal professional examination practical phase in the modality structured objective clinical examination (ECOE) until 2007.

She has been working at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) for 25 years and in September 2012 as an Associate Professor in the Bachelor of Medicine, Department of Health Care, Division of Biological and Health Sciences. She has held the positions of: Divisional Head of the Undergraduate Rotating Internship and Social Service ( 2012 - 2013), Coordinator of the Bachelor of Medicine 2013 - 2015, and Coordinator of the Bachelor of Medicine 2019.
