Profile

Professor Carlos Angulo Álvarez joined the Department of Processes and Techniques of Realization of the Division of Sciences and Arts for Design of the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) Azcapotzalco Campus in 1993 as a teaching assistant.

He has a Master's Degree in Design (1998-2002), Specialization in CAD/CAM and New Technologies (1996-1998). He studied Industrial Design (1988-1993). He has completed three diploma courses in various design topics and a distance facilitator certification. He has taught more than 100 subjects in the UAM and has collaborated in institutions such as the Instituto Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey on a temporary basis, as well as has given several courses within the UAM and outside in the field of computer-aided design.

Professionally, in recent years he has been dedicated to the development and modeling of computer modeling objects in order to be materialized with the use of computer-controlled machinery.

In the teaching field, in the postgraduate program in design of the Division of Sciences and Arts for Design, he has directed three Master's level theses and has also integrated six committees of Ideal Communication of Results (ICR) at the Specialization and Master's level, being in one of the Committee President.

Professor Angulo has worked as a teacher since 1995 uninterruptedly, he has held positions within the Department of Processes and Techniques of Realization of the Division of Sciences and Arts for Design and within the Division. Proprietary Divisional Advisor (1998-1999) in the Department of Processes and Realization Techniques. He has participated as Departmental Teaching Coordinator in the General Subject trunk, Industrial Design and has been Coordinator of studies in the CyAD (2002-2006).

Currently, he holds the position of Head of the Research Area of New Technologies and within his future plans, he wishes to continue with the project of obtaining the academic degree of Doctor.
