Professor Víctor Jiménez Arguelles is a graduate in Civil Engineering from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM). He holds a Master's degree in Engineering with a specialization in construction from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) and a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, Barcelona, Spain.

He is a member of the Iberoamerican Network of Project Engineering and has been responsible for Occupational Safety in the construction project of the Emisor Oriente Tunnel (TEO). He is a specialist in occupational risk prevention with a major focus on construction and a specialist in project management.

He is head of occupational safety during the construction of the Eastern Emitter Tunnel and advisor to the Chamber of Deputies for the construction of the ASF headquarters building.

He has been director of 25 master's theses and 30 bachelor's theses.
