Professor Vladimir Tkatchuk Vladimirovich was born on May 16, 1959, in the Soviet Union. He received his Ph.D. in Physics and Mathematics from Moscow State University in 1983.

In 1998 he received the Prize for Textbooks and Didactic Material awarded by the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM). He is a member of the National System of Researchers, Level III. He belongs to the Research Area of General Topology and Topological Algebra. He has published more than 140 articles in prestigious international journals. As for books, he has one published by UAM, four published by Springer, and two published in Russia. He has participated in congresses with more than 60 presentations in international forums. His articles have more than 700 citations by other authors.

He is a Member of the Editorial Board of Topology and Its Applications (the most important Journal of Topology). He has been a member of the Organizing Committees of 8 international conferences and has given more than 30 invited lectures at universities in eight countries. He has also done research stays in five universities in the United States as well as in Spain, Italy, and Holland.

He holds the recognition of Outstanding Referee of Topology and Its Applications (2018).
