Professor Addis Abeba Salinas Urbina holds a Ph.D. in Collective Health Sciences.

Among her lines of research is Health Education with the community. This line was established taking into consideration that: a) all policies and programs in the field of health make reference to the need to incorporate the educational component to achieve their objectives; and b) there is a need to critically analyze the various existing approaches to health promotion and health education, as well as to rethink and enrich the conceptual and methodological bases on which they have traditionally relied.

Other lines of research are: Work and Health, Determinants and Consequences; Population and Health; Health Promotion; and Priority Health Problems.
