Professor Luciano SeguraJáuregui Álvarez is a graduate in Industrial Design from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) Azcapotzalco Campus. He holds a Master's degree in Marketing and Administration and a Ph.D. in Design from UAM Azcapotzalco Campus.

He is currently a Professor in the Department of Processes and Techniques of Realization in the Division of Sciences and Arts for Design at the UAM Azcapotzalco Campus. He is a member of the Area of Administration and Technology for Design of the same educational institution.

He is a professor of the Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design, teaching the UEA of: Project Structuring III, Product Development III, Marketing, Costs, Project Presentation I, as well as Integral I, II and III.

He has participated as a jury in the Paglione Design Challenge, sponsored by the Illinois University at Chicago (UIC), from 2013 to the present. Similarly, as a juror in the Third International Train Design Competition 2018, in Qingdao, China. He is a member of the evaluation committee of the SINAES of the Republic of Costa Rica. He has served as a mentor for interdisciplinary student teams participating in the Hult Prize.
