Professor Eleazar Humberto Guerra De La Huerta has a Ph.D. in Hispanic Literature from the Colegio de México. He is a Professor at the Department of Politics and Culture of the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) Xochimilco Campus and belongs to the research area in Polemology and Hermeneutics.

He is President of the Departmental Editorial Committee for the period 2020-2022. He has published the book: "Narración, experiencia y sujeto. Estrategias textuales en siete autobiografías mexicanas", (2017, UAM Xochimilco Campus and Bonilla-Artigas), co-edited, together with Rafael Mérida the collective text "Entre lo joto y lo macho: masculinidades sexodiversas mexicanas" (2019, Egales) and has also edited the collective book series "Estudios y argumentaciones hermenéuticas, volúmenes 1, 2, 3, 4 y 5 (2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020, UAM Xochimilco Campus). He has published in refereed journals in the USA, Mexico, Spain, Poland and Argentina. He has participated in academic events and as a visiting professor at the University of Lleida, Spain and the Universidad Mayor de San Andrés (La Paz, Bolivia).
