Professor Maribel Dávila Jaime holds a Ph.D. in Education from the International University Institute of Toluca, a Master's degree in Economics and International Politics from the Centro de Investigación y Docencia Económicas, A. C. (CIDE), and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the Instituto Politécnico Nacional (IPN). She has been a Professor at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) for 20 years and is currently attached to the Department of Social Processes at UAM Lerma Campus.

She is a member of the research area "Public Policy, Economy, Society and Territory"; her lines of research are: Higher Education, Income Distribution, and Impact Evaluation of Public Policies. She obtained the 2019 Annual Teaching Award granted by UAM Lerma Campus. She is currently the Coordinator of Studies of the Public Policy Degree at UAM Lerma Campus.
