Professor Guillermo Enrique Negrón Silva received his Bachelor´s degree in Chemistry and Science from the University of Chile, Chile, his Mster´s in Chemistry from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) and his Ph.D. in Sciences from the Université de Paris Sud, Centre D´Orsay, France.

He is a member of the Mexican Academy of Sciences and Founder of the Mexican Academy of Organic Chemistry. He has supervised more than 50 undergraduate theses, 15 Master's theses and more than 5 Ph.D. theses. He has participated in national and international congresses and conferences.

He has taught at the University of Chile, the Faculty of Sciences of the UNAM, CINVESTAV, at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) Azcapotzalco Campus. He has been a juror in master, predoctoral and doctoral exams at BUAP, UAEM, CIVESTAV, IPN, UNAM and UAM.

He is currently Professor and Researcher at the Basic Sciences Department of the Basic Sciences and Engineering Division of UAM Azcapotzalco Campus.
