Dr. Judith María de Lourdes Cardoso Martínez is a Full-Time Professor-Researcher in the Polymers area of the Department of Physics at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, Iztapalapa Campus. With a solid academic background, she obtained her Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctorate degrees in Chemistry, specializing in Physical Chemistry, at the Faculty of Chemistry of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), being recognized with the Gabino Barreda Medal for her academic performance.
Since 1985, she has been a member of the National Researchers System (SNI), reaching Level II in 2018, valid until 2033. Her research work has translated into the supervision of Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral theses, as well as the publication of more than 60 articles in indexed journals and the acquisition of 4 relevant patents in her field.
In addition to her academic contribution, she actively participates as a reviewer of articles and projects at national and international levels. She is a member of the Mexican Academy of Sciences and has been recognized by the Teacher Improvement Program (PROMEP) since 2003.
Her commitment to sustainability is evidenced by her participation in the Sustainable Commission of UAMI since 2019, as well as her role as Full Member of the Academic Council during the period from July 2022 to July 2023.
Dr. Judith María de Lourdes Cardoso Martínez has demonstrated leadership in the management of research projects, having directed 9 contracts and projects in her career.
