Professor Elsa Báez Juárez teaches in the Department of Applied Mathematics and Systems of the Division of Natural Sciences and Engineering at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) Cuajimalpa Campus.

As a result of her research, Dr. Báez Juárez has published articles in indexed journals and has given talks at national and international events. She has been member of the organizing committee of some national and local events, such as xxv Escuela Nacional de Optimización y Análisis Numérico (ENOAN), and Semana de la Computación y Matemáticas Aplicadas (SCMA). She has also directed theses of undergraduate students in her areas of expertise.
