Professor Irene Juana Guillen Mondragón holds a Bachelor's degree in Management with a concentration area in Finance, a Master's degree in Organizational Studies, and a Ph.D. in Organizational Studies from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM). She has been awarded the Medal for University Merit in the Master's and Doctorate degrees, granted by the UAM.
Recognition as Full-time Professor with Desirable Profile by the General Directorate of University and Intercultural Higher Education (DGESUI).
The disciplinary area in which her research work is inscribed is Social Sciences: Management and Organizational Studies. The field of specialization of her research work is small and medium-sized enterprises.
Her main contributions are several refereed publications of case studies of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). These contain findings on the organizational life and challenges faced by the organizations, as well as on the way in which management is carried out, which contribute to the knowledge of SMEs (due to their social and economic importance) and of management in practice. This knowledge is socialized through publications for the knowledge of other organizations and society in general.
Member of evaluation committees of desirable profile and academic groups, invited by the Program for the Professional Development of Teachers (PRODEP). Participates in the International Network of Researchers in Competitiveness (RIICO).
