Professor Alicia Beatriz Azzolini Bincaz is a lawyer who graduated from the School of Law of the Universidad Nacional de La Plata, Argentina, and holds a Ph.D. in Law from the Graduate Studies Division of the School of Law of the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) Azcapotzalco Campus. She is currently a tenured Professor at the Law Department of the UAM Azcapotzalco Campus, and Coordinator of the Criminal Law Teaching Area and a member of the Committee of the Master's Degree in Law. She has taught and lectured at the National Institute of Criminal Sciences and other universities and research institutes in the country.

She has combined her academic career with public positions (during her sabbatical periods) as an advisor to the Third Office of the National Human Rights Commission, Coordinator of Advisors to the President of the Human Rights Commission of the Federal District, Central Prosecutor of Investigation for Minors of the Attorney General's Office of the Federal District and in charge of the General Academic Secretariat of the National Institute of Criminal Sciences. She has research and teaching experience in criminal law, criminal policy, and juvenile justice.

She has coordinated several research projects, including: Estudio comparativo de niñas, niños y adolescentes trabajadores (Coord.), Mexico, Sistema Nacional para el Desarrollo Integral de la Familia, INACIPE, 2018 and Los derechos de niñas, niños y adolescentes en el Programa Universitario de Derechos Humanos de la UNAM (the publication was the book Los derechos de la infancia).

She has the Certification of Labor Competence in the Standard of Competence Evaluation of the competence of candidates based on standards of competence, Conocer certifying body, Inacipe evaluation center 2018 and the Certification of Labor Competence in the Standard of Competence Promotion of the principles and rights of the Comprehensive System of Criminal Justice for Adolescents.
