Professor Fermín Torres Zarate holds a Ph.D. in Law from the Universidad Panamericana and is a Professor at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM). He graduated from UAM Azcapotzalco Campus with a Law degree. Master's Degree in Private Law from Universidad Autónoma del Estado de México. Master's Degree in Legal Sciences, Universidad Panamericana. Professor SNI level I. Recipient of the Teaching Award at UAM on three occasions.

His research has focused on the administration and delivery of justice, especially in the implementation of oral trials, to determine whether the result will be a prompt and expeditious justice, accessible to the defendant. He also conducts research on the way in which civil judgments are executed, their procedural process and the different measures that can be carried out to execute a judgment so that it is not left without due compliance, so that the defendant's claim is satisfied.
